Day 4 of Hands on Play: Island playing

Today we had to "make Islands" and play for at least 15 minutes of uninterrupted play time. We had a 2.5 hour car ride today so my daughter was ready for some play when we arrived. The weather was beautiful so we got the side walk chalk out and drew a few islands. She usually loves side walk chalk but she did not last long with doing the art work as she needed to get her energy out. I drew a circle, triangle, and square island and I gave her a task to do at each island. One was jumping jacks, one was knee touches, and the last one was run in place and she had to jump from "island" to "island."

He was a great observer and cheerer! :)
