Child Training Bible Review and **Giveaway**

CHILD TRAINING BIBLE or CTB is a neat way to set up your Bible. Please read more about it, read my review, and enter a giveaway to get started on your own Child Training Bible.  :)

What is the CTB?
From their site: "This Bible is designed for parents and children to seek answers from God's Word on Common sinful problems. Topics include: disobedience, selfishness, anger, complaining, and fear.  The Child Training Bible makes it easy for parents to bring the truth of God's Word into times of instruction.  Simply use the key on the inside -front cover of the CTB to locate the sinful behavior and find the section and color flags to go to.  Read the highlighted verses with your child and explain what god says about the behavior that needs to be addressed.  With the CTB you can make the most of your time with your children by using Scripture to instruct them in Righteousness."

MY REVIEW:
My advice right off the back is to order the supplies
right off their website.  I did not and it would have
been much easier if I would have went that route!
LESSON LEARNED.  The reason I did not is because
I really wanted a different Bible then the one they
used.   It was a challenge finding one the right size
but I finally did find a cute pink one that my daughter
loves.  :)

After I finally gathered all the supplies I sat down
started highlighting and tabbing the correct verses.
This is not a quick process, it is easy but it takes time.
It was a great review session for me though to go
through each category and each verse!  It was like
my own little Bible lesson time each time I sat down
to do a category.

The Supplies for the Child Training Bible:

 Completed Bible:

So once it was done I waited for the right moment of
"ooo, I wish I could recall a Bible verse for that."
I just love some of the category's which include:
fighting (perfect with siblings), impatience (I need
that reminder), tattling (a reoccurring issue with
most children), and so many more.

The first time I used it was the morning after my
daughter had woken in the middle of the night
telling me she was scared. So that morning we
found the fear tab and we started reading.  It was
 fun and super easy!  :)

Over all I believe many parents would benefit from
creating one of their own Child Training Bibles.  It
may take some time to put together but it will be be
used for years to come.  :) This would also be great
to give as a gift to any parent, grandparent, or even
 a Sunday School Teacher.

With 5 kids, when wouldn't I use this! But the truth is I have a struggling 9 year old daughter who has anger and self esteem issues and I think I would use this most with her.

Thanks, that is helpful. I clicked the "login through facebook" and it gives me a list of how I can enter...I tried clicking the "Do it" and it does nothing...am I crazy and doing something wrong??
When you click "Do it" then you will click the like button or what ever else the task says to do.

It is hard to explain by writing. Keep trying it should work. Just make sure you are logged in through facebook. :)

I will look at it some more to try to figure out the confusion.

Sorry, I feel like a complete dummy. I have liked some of the things on facebook and followed and visited websites, etc. It just isn't showing any of it on recent activity, so I'm not sure if it is registering...hmmm.

I think I would use this as I assembled it, going over the verses with the kids as I marked them.
I would love to use this with my kiddos!
I learned that this fits a 9 x 6 Bible.

This looks like a wonderful tool to use with my children! Sorry this looks like it's anonymous; I'm not a blogger. Thanks for hosting the giveaway.

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...
