Kiah our puppy comes home on Mother's Day

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of homemadedogfood.com for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

We are very excited to bring our puppy, Kiah,  home this weekend (on Mother's Day) but as I was shopping for collars, leashes, toys, and dog food it got me thinking about the recent dog food recalls and how sad it was that several dogs got sick.  I remember when we had our other dog several years ago we made homemade dog treats but I had never made Homemade dog food or even thought about it.  I had seen some people at the local farmers market trying to sell Homemade dog food.

A google search later and you can find an Easy cooked dog food recipe.  I am going to talk to the hubby and see if this is something we should do for our new puppy addition.  I would be interesting to me to find out the price differences.  :)  Check out the video's on how easy it is to make Homemade dog food.  My only problem is having room in my freezer to store it.  :(  I think I need to get a big deep freezer and put it in the basement.

So do you buy dog food? What kind?   Make your own?  Have you saved money making your own over purchasin?  So much to decide when you become a pet parent!
