Each time they create new and exciting stories as they experience the fun and magic of felt and leaves a lasting impression."

Thank-you to Betty Lukens Inc. for sending me the Alphabet Fun Felt pack to review.  I was not paid for my review and all opinions are 100% mine.

It was a rainy day and no school so it was perfect that this fun felt package came in the mail the day before.  :)  We have been trying to learn the lower case letters and it really helped that the upper and lower case letters were together.   As we started this activity we placed the pictures on one side and the words on another side.  My daughter would pick out a picture and tell me what it was and sound out the first letter and tell me what letter it started with...well with a little help.  She still needs more practice with her letters.  She would then find the letter on the big board and then find the word with my help.

I was amazed when I was looking at the Betty Lukens Inc. website.  They have tons of Bible Stories, fun felts, educational felts, inspirational felts, and felt books.

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...
