Mamavation Sistahood

2013 is nearing and I am very happy I have done a decent job at loosing weight and getting fit in 2012 but I am still not done.  I am hoping to get refocused and actually hit my goal in 2013 and keep the weight off!  A mild foot injury set me back in August and my motivation during the holidays has been lacking.   I am hoping that the Mamavation Sistahood will help me stay focused and encouraged through the whole year!  Check out the Mamavation Monday's to link up and become apart of the group.  :)  1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19  Do you not know that your bodies are temples  of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;   20  you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your bodies. I think that verse is a huge motivator for me!  I hope it motivates others as well!  God has given us this body and I want my body to honor God since it is...

Kidslac Probiotics for kids

Why would my child need probiotics? The probiotics in KidsLacs help support kids' natural defense systems and reduce occasional digestive upset. Frequent antibiotic treatments and lack of healthy nutrients such as fruits & vegetables in a child's diet can cause stomach upset and digestion difficulty. Probiotics help maintain a healthy digestive tract and maximize the body ability to absorb nutrition from the healthy things kids eat. The probiotics in KidsLacs can help get their tummies back on track! Read more http://www.ghthealth.com/products/kidslac.aspx My Review: I recieved a free sample to conduct my review. All opinions are 100% mine and I was not paid to review this. I have used probiotics before in the past but it seems like a couple years has passed since I have purchased any. The Kidslac has a sour apple flavor and is mixed well in apple juice. :) My 2 children have no idea I have snuck in this valuable digestion aide! :) I think having...

Christmas Recap

The day is wrapping up as the kids are all tucked in and sleeping after having a fun filled day.  The fun will continue in a few days once we celebrate with my side of the family.  :) It sure is fun to watch and enjoy my kids as they unwrap a new gift and the smiles and laughter of excitement sure does my heart good.   I realized I did not do a good job of taking pictures during unwrapping gifts but oh well, it was more fun treasuring the moment then trying to capture it on camera. Here are a few snapshots of the day! Mustache??  Who knew you could have so much fun with this gag gift?   My daughter all dolled up with make-up...a gift.  I think makeup will only come out on special occasions because I need to keep her my little girl and she looks so grown up here!!! She did feel magnificent!  The Bammco book- Search and find our faces!  The kids will continue to keep searching each page!  :)   ...

Purex Baby Detergent Giveaway

You know this mom loves Purex products!!  The cost, the cleaning, and the smell all get two thumbs up for me.  Have you tried the new and  improved Purex for Baby Detergent? Thank-you to Purex for sending me the item to review.  All opinions are 100% mine and I was not paid for this review.   Gentle on Baby’s Skin. Tough on Baby’s Messes. You want the best for your baby, and so do we. Purex Baby detergent is hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested and formulated to be extra gentle on your little one’s sensitive skin. Purex Baby detergent leaves your baby’s clothes smelling fresh and clean, and won’t harm the flame resistance of sleepwear. My Review: The product works great in my machine and it cleans my two children's clothes great. Even with a son who is older but still occasionally has a diaper blow out, makes me happy to report that his clothes were left clean so I do  recommend  this product.  It is unscented but the best part i...

Grinch Party

This year we started a new tradition, a GRINCH party!  Our Grinch party consisted of wearing our pajama's, eating Grinch cookies, drinking a green Grinch drink, and watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas on the floor with all of our cuddly blankets .  I found the Grinch Cookie Recipe from the blog, The Hungry Dudes.     One treat that my daughter loves is Andes mints so I knew this cookie would be a two thumbs up with its Andes mints, chocolate chips, and mint extract.  The Grinch drink was also very easy to make and very tasty.  It is sprite and green sherbet   YUMMY!! We watched the cartoon version of The Grinch, when the kids are older we may try to watch the Jim Carey version.  The shorter version worked great for my little 21 month old.    I love starting our own traditions.  What do you do with your family?

Family Hands- Christmas Tree

My daughters teacher sent home some green paper and asked us to trace and cut each of our hands.  Then my daughter brought this beautiful Christmas tree!  :)  I love it...very personal!  :)  Good Job my lil sweetie! My favorite is the star on top, just like our tree at home.

Boylan Bottling Company Review and Giveaway

History of Boylan Bottling Company:  The Boylan Bottling Company has been making sodas in small batches since 1891. We weren’t the only one making sodas back then, but unlike many of the mega brands conceived in that same era, Boylan has remained true to its roots and committed to producing only authentic hand-crafted soda. Our Sodamasters use home grown recipes to make Boylan’s sparkling beverages from only the highest quality ingredients. Real ingredients…the kind you can even pronounce. We still use pure cane sugar which not only tastes better but also enhances the flavors of our sodas rather than masking them with the cloying syrupy sweetness of high fructose corn syrup. And our thick glass bottles perfectly preserve flavor, freshness and carbonation, making for a markedly superior tasting product. Boylan hand-crafted sodas stand on their own and they speak for themselves – no hype, no marketing gimmicks. While our sodas may cost more per ounce than the big soda ...

Snow Day

Today was my daughters first snow day!  We filled it with lots of outside fun and she even took a long nap today too.  The snow is still falling outside and I am not 100% sure of the totals but I am thinking we are in the 10 inch area.  The snow was light and fluffy and fun!  My daughter had much more fun then lil man, since little man will not keep his mittens on we had to go inside to warm up those little fingers.

Easy Christmas Wreath Craft

It's Christmas time and I love Christmas Crafts!  :)  My kids had fun creating these wreath's with supplies you most likely have around your house right now: wrapping paper- green and red paper plate glue pipe cleaner For this craft you can practice cutting skills or work on fine motor skills and have your child rip wrapping paper.  :)   After they have the paper in small pieces they can glue them on pre-cut plate (I cut the middle of the plate out)  Once they are finished I used a pipe cleaner to create a handle for it to go around a door knob.   Have FUN!

Ugly Sweater Party

We always do an ugly sweater party with our youth group.  This year my daughter and I swapped sweaters!  She may only be 5 but I fit it...kinda!  :)    If you have never done the ugly Christmas sweater then you should... It is fun!  :)

TruKid Review and Giveaway

About TruKid : When founder and mother of six, Jennifer Adams Bunkers, created TruKid, there weren’t a whole lot of children’s products on the market for her to choose from, and a lot of the stuff out there was chemical-filled and unhealthy, or smelled “yucky”, according to her kids. Jennifer always felt hesitant to use those products on her children. One day, she found two of her kids playfully applying her wrinkle cream. She realized that a concoction used to zap crows’ feet probably wasn’t suitable for their youthful skin, so she set out to create products for her kids. Using only natural ingredients, and essential oils to make scents that children love, she created an easy system, made up of products accompanied with fun educational activities, so kids could learn how to take care of themselves. The rest as they say, was [TruKid™] history. As for what comes next, Jennifer has plans to launch the TruKid Foundation™ this fall. The Organization will be for kids, by k...

Floppet's Giveaway

Well the Floppets were a hit with my toddler, my 5 year old, and several girls from our church.  :)   The animals were all cute and my daughter really was hoping to find a giraffe in our box of Floppets but she was satisfied with her penguin and kitty which are her favorites.   The girls had a lot of fun finding ways to use the Floppets.  We had rings, we attached them to necklaces, shoes, hair ties, on their backpacks, on the draw strings of a sweatshirt.  I am willing to bet my daughter or her friends will continue to find new ways to use their Floppets .   These cute little animals can be a great incentive tool for a classroom which is why we sent a few to my daughters 4K classroom so her teacher could use them in the prize box.  :)  Make sure to enter to win 10 Floppets for your child using the easy rafflecopter form below.   a Rafflecopter giveaway
