BeginAgain- Toy Review and Giveaway

About BeginAgain:
Welcome to the BeginAgain workshop! This is the place where we tell you all about us. To start, we are an imaginative toy company located in Fort Collins, Colorado.
BeginAgain was founded on the principles, ideas, and inventions of Benjamin Barlowe, an early 20th century inventor from Fort Collins. Ben's fantastic tales and astute observations of his grandchildren, Zadie and Fuller, are the inspiration behind our products. His archive overflows with tinkered toys, playful mechanisms, and incredible stories filled with nostalgia, history, and lessons on how things used to be.
Created by toymakers David Bowen and Chris Clemmer–two of the co-founders of Sprig Toys–BeginAgain is focused on thoughtful product design and imaginative storytelling for today's kids. It is our goal to inspire children with stories of invention, adventure, and good old-fashioned fun. BeginAgain toys teach through play and nurture the development of the whole child.
Thanks for stopping by the workshop.

Thank-you BeginAgain for sending me the Lemonade  Set to conduct my review.  I was not paid for this review and all opinions are 100% mine.

The Lemonade Set retails on BeginAgain site for $15.  It is made in the USA from 100% recycled plastic!!  The toy serves 4 and is a great addition to any play kitchen to add to the pretend play aspect.  A compact nesting design allows for easy clean up and storage.  Everything included: Lemonade style pitcher with lid, 4 serving cups and saucers, 1 mixing spoon, and 1 ice tray.

This product was included in the toys for Writers.  "When your child becomes "The Writer" they create characters and the world they play in.  Toys for "The Writer" offer the tools to encourage this imagination and storytelling.  "The Writer" toys focus on social skills and role-playing to help develop a child's verbal communication and to build a sense of the world they live in. Other categories of toys include: Artist, Writer, Inventor, Sportster, and Hero.

Immediately after I set this toy out my son poured me a glass of lemonade and brought it to me.  It was a joy to watch him use his imagination.  My daughter also has had a lot of fun playing with this set.  She had a few lemonade stands last year so she was pretending to have one again.  The fact that this product is made in the USA and is 100% recycled makes me THRILLED!!  BeginAgain truly is a great American company and I hope when you start your birthday or Christmas shopping you will head over to their site and order from them.  The prices are very reasonable, as the Lemonade set is only $15.00!  There are several other toys to choose from that is sure to please your son or daughter.

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...

Packing for your first ski trip

Pexels - CCO Licence So, you're gearing up for your first ski trip and the excitement is as thick as the snow you're about to conquer. But before you can show off those freshly learned pizza and French fry stops, you’ve got to pack.  Packing for a ski trip can feel like preparing for a chilly expedition to the North Pole, but fear not! With these nifty tips, you'll be ready to hit the slopes in style and comfort. 1. Layer Like a Lasagna Think of your ski outfit as a gourmet lasagna: each layer is crucial. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer (yes, that includes thermal underwear) to keep you dry and snug. Over that, layer a warm and breathable mid-layer—think fleece or a wool sweater that can handle the chill. Top it all off with a waterproof and windproof jacket and pants. Remember, it's all about layers that you can add or peel off because sweating while you ski is less fun than a snowball in the face. 2. Keep Those Fingers Cosy Cold hands can ruin a...
