Following God's Leading

Over the last few months God has opened the door for my family to step out of youth ministry and step into a senior pastor position.  In February we headed down to Iowa to check out the church and then we were back again at the beginning of April.  The decision is not an easy one to make.  Our family has truly been blessed  being here is the norther part of Wisconsin the last 4 years.  We have a great church, great friends, nice house things here are comfortable and fun but when God calls you somewhere you go even when it might not make sense or be easy- step out in FAITH- Put my trust in HIM!

One hard aspect is obviously saying good-bye to many great friends we have made here.  The other part is selling our house we just bought a year ago.  I love our house here but I know the plans that God has for my family are calling us to move.

Last night I needed to share my heart regarding us leaving at church.  It of course ended in many tears but I do have peace from God regarding the move...even with all the hard goodbyes.

At nap time yesterday I read my kids "The Prayer of Jabez."  The prayer is such a great one and is one that I know I have said for myself a few times in the last year.

God is enlarging our territory and I know He has some big plans for this family and it is exciting to see it unfold.

I may have had my moments of not wanting to go- purely selfish reason I am fully putting my trust in GOD.  I know this move is going to turn into a big blessing!  I WILL TRUST HIM!

With that being said I have a praise report I must share right away.  We listed our house a two Tuesday's ago.  We immediately had lots of showings and within one week of it going on the Market we had two offers.  This last Thursday we signed papers for accepting and offer.  We close on our house at the end of May.  GOD is our provider and he is taking care of all our needs and taking away my stress. AMEN

I would love to ask for prayers as we continue to transition to our new place in Iowa.  THANK-YOU

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...

Common Mistakes Made When Writing a Will

Writing a will should, by all means, be a simple thing. You want to make sure that your assets are being left to your loved ones and that your final wishes are being fulfilled. Usually, they are rather straightforward, but that doesn’t mean that they are entirely foolproof. Here, we’re going to look at some common issues that can lead to disputes or delays in carrying out your will. Image - CC0 License Not Having It Witnessed Correctly One of the most common mistakes when writing a will is not having it witnessed correctly. Wills generally require the signatures of at least two witnesses who are not beneficiaries or spouses of beneficiaries. If the will is not witnessed in accordance with legal requirements, it may be declared invalid, meaning your estate would be distributed according to intestacy laws, which may not align with your wishes. It’s important to follow the witnessing procedures exactly as outlined in your jurisdiction to ensure the will is legally enforceable. Chan...
