Fashion Mission: Shopping for a Tall or Short Fram

If you love wearing fashionable clothing but happen to be really tall or short, looking for ensembles may be challenging. It’s frustrating if you have an upcoming event to attend and you’re struggling to come up with something to wear. Instead of feeling like you don’t have a lot of options when it comes to finding silhouettes that fit you and that you adore, here are some tips on what to look for. It may take some altering of clothing and thinking outside the box, but when you’re done shopping you’ll feel like you have many more options to select from your wardrobe.

If You’re Really Tall, Find Appropriate Sites Online

Did you know that there are sites online that make clothing available to really tall people? G&L Clothing is one company online that you can shop for big and tall clothing. When you find a company that specializes in
big and tall clothing and footwear that fits you well, you can feel confident that you’ll be able to find clothing that not only fits you, but clothing that you like. If you have questions regarding sizing, fit, or anything else a quality company will have no problem answering your questions.

If You’re Really Short, Alter Clothing

It may seem like a hassle, but if you happen to find clothing that you love but it’s too long in length, it’s a lot easier to have the clothing altered as opposed to trying to find clothing that isn’t long enough. If you’re concerned about the extra cost of the item of clothing plus the alteration charge, go to a second hand store and find a pair of quality jeans, for example, instead. It will cost you a lot less to find a pair of great jeans at a second hand store and take it to the tailor as opposed to buying a brand new pair and getting them altered in addition.

Sew Your Own Clothing

If you happen to be an artsy person or you are good with your hands why not give sewing a shot? Often times you can find free classes at a nearby school or you can teach yourself with a book or online guidance. Making your own clothing will help you ensure that you wear what you love and further more you’ll have a new skill that potentially will help you in other areas of life down the road.

Ask Tall or Short Friends Where They Find Their Clothing

Word of mouth is always great, especially if your friends are as tall or short as you are. Ask your friends where they found their most recent tee-shirt you love and hopefully you can find the same one at the store where they found it! Better yet, if you have a friend who loves to shop, ask them if they want to be your shopping buddy. Together you can encounter shops that have clothing that works for your body types. You can spread the word to your other friends and feel happy that you have a few reliable companies you can count on for quality and stylish clothing.

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...

Packing for your first ski trip

Pexels - CCO Licence So, you're gearing up for your first ski trip and the excitement is as thick as the snow you're about to conquer. But before you can show off those freshly learned pizza and French fry stops, you’ve got to pack.  Packing for a ski trip can feel like preparing for a chilly expedition to the North Pole, but fear not! With these nifty tips, you'll be ready to hit the slopes in style and comfort. 1. Layer Like a Lasagna Think of your ski outfit as a gourmet lasagna: each layer is crucial. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer (yes, that includes thermal underwear) to keep you dry and snug. Over that, layer a warm and breathable mid-layer—think fleece or a wool sweater that can handle the chill. Top it all off with a waterproof and windproof jacket and pants. Remember, it's all about layers that you can add or peel off because sweating while you ski is less fun than a snowball in the face. 2. Keep Those Fingers Cosy Cold hands can ruin a...
