Book Review- "Thank you, Lord, For Everything"

Book Description:
"Love surrounds you, beauty, too.
Notice how God blesses you!
Clap your hands, shout and sing:
Thank you, Lord, for everything."

A comfortable and relaxing rhyme tells the story of God’s great blessings in this padded cover board book. P.J. Lyons’ engaging text and Tim Warnes’ playful illustrations remind readers how much they have to be thankful for.
My Review:
It can be easy now a days to forget to be thankful for the things we have.   We can go through our days so speedy with our checklist in our head that we often times forget to be thankful and appreciate the beauty around us that God has given us.
I enjoyed this rhyming story that reminds all of us that we can be thankful for the big and small things in life.
The pictures are simple with animals for characters.   I think kids often times are drawn to books with animals as the main characters so this book will be grabbed by your younger kids.  With the cute rhymes on each page and the inviting illustrations kids will be asking you to read it again and again.
This book is perfect to add to your collection in November as we gear up for Thanksgiving!

Thank you Zondervan for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.   I was not paid for this review and all opinions expressed are 100% mine.

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...

About this Bible: The Christian faith is founded upon an unchanging and unceasing confession: that “Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:11). This is the confession upon which all our hope, and all our joy, rests. Ancient creeds and confessions of the faith to grow your understanding of what we believe—and have always believed. Artwork made throughout the history of Christianity to deepen your worship of God. My Review: I have a full house often being a pastor and now that we have a bonus daughter with us she is the blessed one to receive this Bible.  She has been desiring a bible to take notes in so when she saw margins she was pretty excited.  Then with the leather she was more exci...
