Book Review: "Little Love Letters from God"

What child does not love to receive mail? What if that child could receive, open and read his or her own personal mail from God? The Little Love Letters from God board book will invite them to do just that! Accompanying each of the eight stories in this unique children’s Bible is a very special and encouraging letter tucked away in its own lift-the-flap envelope. With a padded cover for little hands, Little Love Letters from God introduces children to God’s Word with eight of the most popular Bible stories—including creation, Noah’s ark, the birth of Jesus and more. Following each story the child will find his or her own letter from God. Children will love the excitement of opening the letters and parents will love how each letter elaborates on the Bible story being told. A very special Bible verse, entitled God’s Wonderful Words To You will accompany each story and letter. Much more than a mere memory verse, each carefully chosen promise will be God’s very own personal words of love, encouragement, and hope.

My Review
I agree in the description that kids love getting mail.   I remember growing up and getting the mail with my dad and often asking if I had mail.   He would always be nice and give me the junk mail.   Then I got a little older and could write letters to famous people which on occasion they would send something back which made the day fantastic.    I would have loved having this book with the little post cards that are in the book for each page.

This book has a post card to personalize for your child as a letter from God.   If you really sit and think about it the Bible is our love letter from God so taking certain scriptures and putting them on postcards makes it extra special for our kids.

Praises of a Wife and Mommy already reviewed the older kids "Love Letters from God" and this one is for younger children.   The book has thicker pages but not quite a board book.   Each page has a story, God's wonderful words to you, and the love letter from God.  There are also great pictures on each page that help keep younger kids attention.

I really enjoyed this book and my kids love the post cards!   Thanks Zondervan for sending me this book for free in exchange for an honest review.   I was not paid for this review and all opinions expressed are 100% mine.

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...
