Book Review: Jesus a 365 Day Devotional

Book Description:  Jesus isn’t just found in the New Testament of the Bible—mentions, whispers, and echoes of Him can be found throughout the Bible. There are hundreds of clues and promises about Jesus in the Old Testament, which are fulfilled in the New Testament. Jesus: A 365-Day Devotional helps 8-12 year olds understand these revealing verses about Jesus from the beginning of the Bible to the end. Each devotional includes a Scripture, an explanation, and a prayer for reflection to help children discover that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.  Jesus is a promised fulfilled for all of us. God promised he would send a deliverer, and He did. Jesus is ready and waiting for you. My Review: Each devotional in this book is one page and very easy to read and understand.  I have been reading one page each night with my two kids aged 5 and 9 years old.   My nine year old is able to read it independently as well and comprehend it all.    There are a couple things in

Book Review: God's Little Lambs Bible

Bible Stories for God’s Little Lambs  is a storybook Bible written just for little ones. With a padded cover and simple, accessible text by Julie Stiegemeyer, children will learn about God’s love through stories such as Noah’s Ark, Jonah and the Big Fish, and Jesus Welcomes the Children. With soft brushstrokes and warm colors, Qin Leng provides illustrations readers will love to cuddle up with at bedtime or any time of the day. My Review: This book is recommended for kids aged 3-8!  Each story is about 3 pages and each page has a couple small paragraphs so you can read each story within a couple minutes.  We are about half way done with the book as we are reading one story each night before bed.  My favorite feature is at the bottom of each story there is a little declaration or prayer that I have my kids repeat with me to kinda seal it, which I think is  helping them learn to pray more.  So far my favorite story in this bible is Moses and the burning bush as sometimes that story

Catalogue Shopping: Shopping Made Easy

Shopping has evolved in the last two decades. You might not remember this, but there was a time when retailers or shopping stores only opened five days a week for eight hours a day, usually opening at 9AM and promptly closing at 5PM. There were even stores that took half day schedules once a week, for inventory! The retail industry landscape has indeed changed. These days, retail shops are open all week, often extending beyond office hours. Competition has grown, making retailers more innovative with their offerings – sales, ads, promotions and many more. Add in the presence of the Internet and the effect has been revolutionary. The shift of power has been transferred to consumers. Shoppers now have a choice where to shop, what to shop, what time to shop and can even demand a refund if they are unsatisfied with their purchase. The Internet provides them a retail shop open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and gives them the convenience to shop in the comforts of their own hom

Book Review: "Time for Bed Sleepyhead"

Ten-time New York Times bestselling author and child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen teams up with artist Gail Yerrill to create a book that helps facilitate sleep. Time for Bed, Sleepyhead pairs whimsical illustrations with storytelling techniques to tire your child’s imagination in order to help them settle down at bedtime and fall asleep. Read aloud the story of little bear and his friends as they have a big day at the beach, then return home to eat dinner, take their baths, and head to bed, falling gently to sleep alongside your little one. My Review: This cute animal story has very whimsical and love-able friends throughout! Some of the animals almost have a stuffed animal type of look to them which makes you fall in love with them so much more.   This book even has a line that reminds parents of a discussion to have with your kids, "Do I have to go to bed, Momma?" Little Bear Asked,"  "Oh, yes! Sleep is very important. In fact it

Audio Adventure Series Review

Parents, Homeschoolers , educators time to take a moment to hear about these new audio adventure CD's to bring a new dimension of learning history!   Take a look at this video to describe these neat new CD's.   My Review: I received review copies in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions expressed are 100% mine. First, my shipment arrived quickly and lots of fun goodies were included in my box.   I received a mouse pad, coffee mug, super nice pen, and 4 audio adventure stories.   My children first picked the CD, " With Lee in Virginia " to listen too.  We play it in the car so it did take us a couple weeks to get through the story.   The CD's immediately captured the interest of my 5 and 8 year old.  In fact as soon as we would get in the car my kids were asking for me to turn the CD player on.   When we would return home they were slow to get out of the car as there attention was still listening to the details of the story.   The
