Be a Buddy- Teaching and Motivating!

Valentines Day is right around the corner but at our school, we are focussing on Being a Buddy all month long!  Sometimes a kind word is all it takes for our brains to get a better mindset!  I work at a school with a lot of underprivileged kids.   I see high behaviors very often so any positive message I can share with them is helpful.  My favorite message from the posters is, "One person can make all the difference."

Thank you Oriental Trading for sending me these items in exchange for an honest review.  I was not paid for this post and all opinions expressed is 100% my own.

So all of February I will have students earning stickers with positive messages, Bully Free activity book, bracelets, bookmarks, dog tags, and buttons!

My oh my, Oriental Trading has so many teacher needs!   I love all the affordable prizes!  As a behavior teacher I know how important it is to have motivators for kids as well as positive messages.  Go check out all the incentives you can add to your classroom!

These stress balls each have a message that I hope my students will read and reread and get in their brain and their heart.   I want them all to display these characteristics in and out of school.  I use these has a coping skill for my students when they become frustrated.  They can squeeze them or throw them in the sensory room.

As you can see a little on this ball the message is very thin.   I actually had one of them peel completely off.  :(

Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...
