Disney 2019

I have a lot more pictures to post of all the other things we did on vacation but these will have to be your starter post!   Disney- it was one one of the first things we did.   We rocked the fast passes but still had to wait in some lines.    We brought our own food so we didn't spend any other money in the park.  If your like me spending money on admission is already crazy...people spend days and days and a fortune at this place and it baffles me!   So what was our favorites?   The Seven Dwarf ride, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain.    I also wish I wasn't in such a hurry for some of the attractions and took more pictures on my phone.  The pictures above are from wearing the watch!   I also think I missed several of those opportunities.  On our way to the park we rode the boat and on the way back to the car we did the train....

Guest Post: Toxic Chemicals in Car Seats by Keren Simanova

The main reason parents use car seats is to keep their little ones safe in case of an accident. So, the responsible parent researches all the car seats on the market based on safety ratings and versatility.  Who would have thought about researching car seats to see if they contain toxic chemicals that are linked to learning and memory impairment, thyroid issues, immune system dysfunction, and cancer? Babies and small children are the most vulnerable in terms of exposure to chemical toxins. Their internal organs are developing rapidly. When a child is exposed to toxins, the toxins can be absorbed through the skin, mouth, or inhaled from the air.  Choosing the right car seat is, obviously, one of the most important decisions you will make. You’ll not only need to take into consideration the physical safety of the car seat but the chemical safety as well.  In this case, chemical safety refers to the presence of toxins that come from fabric treatments and flame re...

Book Review: Brick Builders Illustrated Bible

About the Book: The  Brick Builder’s Illustrated Bible  uses the popularity of brick-building pieces to engage children with the Word of God. With bold, colorful illustrations by Antony Evans and child-friendly text, over 35 beloved stories from the Old and New Testaments come to life. Readers will travel from Genesis to Revelation as they read stories like Creation, Noah’s Ark, David and Goliath, the Birth of Jesus, and Jesus Walks on Water. And each story contains a “Building Block” takeaway for kids to help them apply the biblical principal to their own lives. What better way to bring the family together than with the  Brick Builder’s Illustrated Bible , perfect for readers of all ages. My Review: If you have a Lego fan that this might be a great addition to those fans.  This Illustrated Bible has 35 stories, 15 from the old testament and 20 from the new testament.  I know it is hard to get everyone's favorite Bible Stories in a kids Bible but I think ...

Book Review- "The Wonder that is You"

About the book: Every parent dreams of embracing their new child, and when that dream comes true, it's as if all of creation rejoices with them. In the tradition of Nancy Tillman's  On The Night You Were Born and Emily Winfield Martin's  The Wonderful Things You Will Be  comes  The Wonder That Is You  by critically-acclaimed author Glenys Nellist. This heartwarming picture book beautifully captures the universal love and joy parents feel as they celebrate the arrival of a new child. A perfect gift for baby showers, baptisms, adoptions, birthdays, or any time you want to tell your little one how much they are loved. My Review: As a parent I really enjoyed this book.   My kids didn't enjoy it as much as me... maybe because I'm there mom and was being a little bit more dramatic.  First off, I love that a mom wrote this reflecting how she felt  when her baby was born.   The words are very poetic and the illustrations leave you ...
