How to Upgrade Your Wardrobe

Do you skim through the contents of your wardrobe on a day-to-day basis and think, ‘I have absolutely nothing to wear’? Despite the huge amounts of clothes hung up on the rails, we have all been there – everyone’s style changes over time, whether it be due to the current trends or perhaps even a change of lifestyle. If any of these ring true, it may be about time you thought about upgrading your wardrobe, and this guide will give you some useful tips and tricks on how to achieve it. Take a look at just a few of them below:

1. Start with basics

Before you can truly make a complete transformation within your wardrobe, you need to start off with the basics. Basics lay the foundation of your entire look so you can mix and match pieces effortlessly. For example, white t shirt womens are ideal for completing both casual and formal looks alike. They can be worn to the office with a smart suit or simply teamed with jeans and trainers for the weekend – you can’t go wrong!

2. Assess the clothing and outfits you actually wear

After rummaging through your wardrobe for items of clothing, you may find that you come across a vast number of items that you simply don’t want anymore. Therefore, it may be an idea to consider which pieces you wear most throughout the week and get rid of the clutter that hasn’t been worn for years. Once you understand which of the items you refer to most, you can come to a well-informed decision on which pieces you wouldn’t mind parting with.

3. Buy new clothes gradually

Investing in a whole new wardrobe can be an expensive task, so you may need to purchase items gradually. Consider how many blouses or jeans, for example, you realistically need at any time – choose one piece at a time and keep re-assessing your budget to space out purchases over a period of time. Even if you can afford to purchase everything at once, try and hold back as you may wish to integrate more unique and extravagant pieces into your collection.

4. Stop shopping at the same stores

One of the main aspects that may be holding you back from refreshing your wardrobe is the fact that you shop at the same stores. One of the best pieces of advice would be to shop at stores you wouldn’t usually visit and see if there are any new pieces that take your fancy. Doing so will open your eyes to new styles that you may never have considered before to allow you to experiment with different fashion senses.

5. Accessorize

Adding a few accessories can completely transform your look and allow you to bring even the most basic outfits to life. There are a number of accessories that can completely revamp your outfit, such as the likes of hats, scarfs, pocket squares, and even jewelry, which allows you to change up your style gradually without making too many drastic changes initially.

Packing for your first ski trip

Pexels - CCO Licence So, you're gearing up for your first ski trip and the excitement is as thick as the snow you're about to conquer. But before you can show off those freshly learned pizza and French fry stops, you’ve got to pack.  Packing for a ski trip can feel like preparing for a chilly expedition to the North Pole, but fear not! With these nifty tips, you'll be ready to hit the slopes in style and comfort. 1. Layer Like a Lasagna Think of your ski outfit as a gourmet lasagna: each layer is crucial. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer (yes, that includes thermal underwear) to keep you dry and snug. Over that, layer a warm and breathable mid-layer—think fleece or a wool sweater that can handle the chill. Top it all off with a waterproof and windproof jacket and pants. Remember, it's all about layers that you can add or peel off because sweating while you ski is less fun than a snowball in the face. 2. Keep Those Fingers Cosy Cold hands can ruin a...
