Book Review: A Prayer for our Country "Words to Unite and Inspire Hope"

A Prayer for our Country, written by Senate Chaplain Barry Black and illustrated by Kim Holt.   Thank you for reading my review of this amazing little prayer book.   I find power in these words/declarations for our country who needs them.   It is clear to see that this author is a prayer warrior by the words in this book.  Every page you turn is a new powerful line that is helping Heaven come to earth! I love that this book is a fitting book to share for Memorial Day or Independence Day.   I liked to help my kids find something on the page which would represent a scripture.   For instance, "Pleasant words are a honeycomb" is written on a page and is scripture.   Another, "harsh words hurt, while kind words heal" is written in the WORD.   Overall, this book shouts a message of LOVE.   It is a great book to read over and over again!    Thank you Zonderkidz for allowing me to review a...

Book Review: "The Silence Between Us" By Alison Gervais #BlinkYABooks

Thank you Zonderkids and Blinkya for this review opportunity.  I wasn't familiar with Blink until I reviewed this book. According to Blink's website their mission is:  Blink inspires and equips YA readers to lead lives of significance, integrity, and purpose through true stories and fiction that blend imaginative and exciting storytelling and are always uplifting and captivating.    When I started to read this book I thought it was still a part of Zondervan so I continued to wait for a faith portion to come but it did not.   I know realize that Blink is not faith based but rather clean stories for youth.   I would say since this book was still aimed for teens they did not have inappropriate relationships which was nice.  The relationship that did happen they only kissed a handful of times in the story and nothing more was mentioned or inferred for teens going to far which is nice since society tries to sell sex all the time   The st...

The US is one of the most widely known countries in the whole world. The great influence that it has exerted on the planet even before its discovery by European colonizers makes it a place that everyone wants to visit at least once in their lifetime.  It is important to clarify that it is mostly its cultural domination that makes it such an interesting place to visit. In the cultural sphere we include literature, movies, music, fashion, a can-do attitude and a trendy lifestyle. It is not accidental that most trends start there.  Although the country receives millions of visitors all the time, it is hard and expensive for travelers from continents other than North America to go there. However, it is worth the trouble. So, if you are actually going there any time soon, you will find below 5 things that you should absolutely do in order to enjoy the full American experience.  Visit New York Many people think that New York is the capital of the US.
