Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies Review with Naked Nutrtion

Thank you Naked Nutrition for sending me a dozen Naked Cookies to taste test and review.  I was a smart cookie and allowed my friends and family to also take part in this review so you will hear from several people on the review of this protein filled cookie.

Let's start with packaging...
The cookies I received were chocolate chip.  The package was the one you see below.   Visually appealing and the tagline, "premium gluten-free protein cookie with nothing to hide" has a good ring to it.
Once out of the package the cookies look just like cookies.  These cookies are a soft not crunchy type

So on to my friends and family thoughts on this protein cookie:
First my husband and his thoughts: For what it is, it accomplishes its purpose well.  It's a health alternative.  Unlike traditional cookies, 1 cookie is enough.  It satisfies a craving without the impulse to grab for another.  To me, that makes it an effective health snack at 190 calories.   I don't think I'd be doing myself any favors by having more than one.  The calories are mostly protein but I wouldn't call it a protein supplement but a macro sensitive alternative to satisfy cookie cravings.  The first ingredient is naked protein blend. setting a them of protein powder with finishing notes of stevia and monk fruit for lingering sweetness.  All in all, take time eating it, it's dense, enjoy it and understand what it is- it's a choice, a choice for better health.

Next review is from a 17 year family friend:  It is bitter, it is very strong, has almost a vinegary taste to it.

My 11 year old son said, "It is very bland while it still tastes like the protein powder.   I honestly don't like the chocolate they used since it doesn't taste like normal chocolate.

From a 21 year only female friend: As someone who has a craving for sweets through most of the day- its hard to find a quality cookie in taste that is also healthy.   I wouldn't say it's better than a homemade chocolate chip cookie from your grannys by any means but it is a superior alternative.  I give it a 7/10 overall school for getting protein and less sugar!

From my 14 year old daughter: I personally did not enjoy this "treat."  As someone who has protein supplements often I felt that it did not achieve it's yummy purpose that most cookies, and I have had in my very yummy protein shakes.  I would prefer my protein shakes over this cookie any day.   But this is probably a great choice for someone wanting a healthy coolie.  Also, it tastes like butter in my opinion.

So where are my thoughts.   I can taste the stevia and personally it leaves a funny taste in my mouth.   I know they chose dark chocolate chips because that chocolate is better for you than milk.  I however will always be hard to please with dark chocolate.   So with the combination of the dark chocolate with the protein powder cookie I just did not enjoy the flavors of it.  I also feel that I don't have much to compare since this is a gluten free and protein cookie and I don't do much for gluten free I don't know what the norm is in that area.  I might have to seek out some friends who are gluten free to see how it compares in that area.  I do like that Naked Nutrition is made here in the USA.  I also like that they get high quality ingredients such as grass fed protein.  Another huge draw for me is NON- GMO stuff!   I feel safe with these ingredient list and that is a good thing!

"The Reading Game" Review and Giveaway

Description: The first book in  The Reading Game  learn-to-read series tells the story of a skunk without a stripe who is rejected by the other skunks but finds acceptance among some cats and becomes their defender.  It’s told in rhyme, is beautifully illustrated, and is 32 pages long.  It will be the first book the student reads, and there are five more to follow in this groundbreaking learn to read program. Each of The Reading Game's six stories is told using just thirty new words.  These are broken down into six sets of five words.  The student learns to read each set of five words by playing a simple word matching game.  Frequent exposure through play hard wires these words into long-term memory.  Rote learning is transformed into a fast-paced game with a winner every few seconds. After completing Skunk, Game 1, the student has learned five words (can, cat, is, me, not).  Playing Game 2 adds an additional five w...

Packing for your first ski trip

Pexels - CCO Licence So, you're gearing up for your first ski trip and the excitement is as thick as the snow you're about to conquer. But before you can show off those freshly learned pizza and French fry stops, you’ve got to pack.  Packing for a ski trip can feel like preparing for a chilly expedition to the North Pole, but fear not! With these nifty tips, you'll be ready to hit the slopes in style and comfort. 1. Layer Like a Lasagna Think of your ski outfit as a gourmet lasagna: each layer is crucial. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer (yes, that includes thermal underwear) to keep you dry and snug. Over that, layer a warm and breathable mid-layer—think fleece or a wool sweater that can handle the chill. Top it all off with a waterproof and windproof jacket and pants. Remember, it's all about layers that you can add or peel off because sweating while you ski is less fun than a snowball in the face. 2. Keep Those Fingers Cosy Cold hands can ruin a...
