My Thoughts/ Review:
I was blessed with the opportunity to screen this movie at home with my family in exchange to promote and give a review on my thoughts. THANK YOU for this wonderful opportunity. My first initial thoughts brought these words to mind: Sweet Surrender, Redeemed, Transformed, and changed lives! This movie was based on a true story and it got me rejoicing at the hearts that have been set free as well as eager for others to view the film and see Christ rightly- the one who transplants his heart into our chest to get rid of our fleshy icky heart!
I watched this movie with my family and I asked each of them what their favorite part was. My husband enjoyed the very though provoking question that was asked: "People always ask how a good God could send people to hell, but we don't as why He would even let us into heaven." What a great question to ponder as so many are truly angry and blame God for all things. What if we changed our perspective...
One of my kids said her favorite part was when the prisoner was offered freedom to deny Christ but said he would not do it!
Grandma Vicki and I both agreed that our favorite part was to see the heartless and rude guard who stated several times there was no God, fall in humility to exchange his angry bitter heart for salvation in a loving God.
My other daughter really loved when the entire prison cell started singing Amazing Grace prisoners and guards both sang!
We all could appreciate the beauty that was portrayed of life changing from darkness to light! This film does a great job at showing the redemption story with healing and faith unwavering. The film still does give off a low budget vibe in several scenes but I can appreciate the cast and the true story it was based off.
